PlaybookSoccer-To Go gives soccer coaches the ability to create animated play diagrams and manage their virtual playbooks directly on the iPhone. Designed to simplify the visualization of plays through animation, PlaybookSoccer-To Go breaks soccer plays down into individual steps and puts them back together to bring a coach’s vision to life for their players.
With PlaybookSoccer-To Go, soccer coaches can also easily manage and organize their plays as a virtual playbook. Each play can have any number of custom tags that soccer coaches can use to quickly access during game time.
Coaches can also display their plays onto a projector or TV to walk-through plays during a team strategy session (requires the Apple VGA Dock Adapter). And, if players or other coaches want to study the plays on their own, plays can be shared with other iPhone and iPad users of the app (iTunes File Sharing) or emailed as a PDF for printing out hard copies.

- Choose from 10 different team colors (Lines are drawn according to the team color)
- Choose from Full/Half sized pitch
- Choose to display 1-11 players per team and show/hide the opponents (Can display an uneven number of players per team, good for uneven plays or practice drills)
- Players can be displayed in three different styles (Position, Position Number, Xs and Os, or Custom Positions)
- Players can be given names to be displayed on the screen (this can be turned on/off as well)
- Display PlaybookSoccer-To Go on a TV/Projector with VGA Output (VGA Dock Adapter and iPhone 4 Required)

Im currently coaching my sons U8 team and this app helps tremendously. Its very easy to use. Within the first hour of use, I had 10 designed and animated plays that the kids were able to view and understand. Im using it on the iPad and it looks great. I highly recommend buying this app and I never review these things. The four stars is only because a semi-transparent tool bar appears on the last step of the plays and I wish it didnt. Ive already reported it and hopefully a fix will come soon.
Seemed promising at first but at present I am deleting this app. It seems to me this App is designed for iPad. Many of the key features such as "animation" are not options on the iPhone version. Furthermore I found several times when probing the functions of the app that I came to a dead end and was not able to return to my previous task. I tried to contact the developer to give him a chance to respond before I posted my review but havent received a return email for a week.
This is the first application that I downloaded about soccer aids, therefore I have no elements to say which program does a better job. However, what I can say for sure is that this tool is cool and very helpful. I do not own the iPad, but I downloaded it on my iPhone and the result is nice. Probably the iPad gives more justice to the programmers efforts. There are some features that I would like to see added in the future, but right now I am happy with it. The programmer responded to my questions promptly. He deserves 5a bunch of stars too. People buying this application wont need to search any further as I am convinced that more features will be added. A few ideas: - Add calendar of games and practices. - Add pictures of players with their starting positions. - Add capability to handle substitutions.
